Full renovation, all trades

One single point of contact for the whole site.

Seeing a renovation or construction project through to the end is no easy task. To avoid juggling several tradespeople (mason, roofer, painter, joiner, electrician...), it's best to use a general contractor, working across every trade (all trades, or TCE in French).

Full renovation, all trades

What is a general contracting company?

Under the AFNOR P03-011 standard, a general contractor is a building company that carries out several construction-related activities. It delivers a project while meeting its requirements, budget and a deadline set by contract, and excels across several construction specialities.

What is its role?

Working with subcontractors, the general contractor can carry out the renovation, extension or construction of a project in full, under a single contract. It can be approached by the project manager or the client, and it coordinates every trade to deliver a turnkey site.

Why use a general contracting company?

The main advantage is having a single point of contact for the whole site: a real time saver, simpler coordination and a single point of responsibility. A trade refers to each specialised profession in renovation (masonry, plumbing, electrics, painting...); the general contractor orchestrates all of them.
